Michael Hanes graduated from the globally recognized and award-winning institution Pacific Rim College in Victoria, British Columbia. Born and raised in Kamloops, he played junior hockey and then spent many years working various labour-intensive industrial jobs before his own chronic health problems motivated him to pursue his acupuncture license. He knows firsthand about working long physical hours, shift work and the stress that comes with working in these environments.

Michael has a trauma-informed approach for all treatments, providing a safe space for all bodies. Connection and authenticity are at the forefront of his values. Your safety comes first and your voice will be heard.

Michael blends the ancient modality of acupuncture with modern thinking and knowledge. He stays up-to-date with the latest research in acupuncture from a biomedical standpoint, while continually drawing on the thousands-of-years-old wisdom from classic theories.
